PNF I with Vicky Johnson in Pasadena
From July 25-27, I had the honor of lab assisting PNF I, hosted at Landswick Physical Therapy. The course was taught by Vicky Johnson, with her husband Greg, developed the Institute of Physical Arts (IPA). The IPA has been a huge influence in my career and life since graduating from USC physical therapy in 2007. I really do believe that without their knowledge and courses, I would not have progressed in my clinical skills as much as I have. Without them, I wouldn't have opened Movement IQ Physical Therapy.
I donated my time to help with the course because of preparation for the biggest test of my life, which happens to be 1 week after this post. I will be going to Steamboat Springs, CO for a full week of review and testing to get my Certified Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT).
The host site (Landswick Physical Therapy) is owned and operated by Erik Landswick. I had the pleasure of speaking with him and watching his techniqes, as well as his physical therapy employees who also took the class. They all showed great technique and were able to show improvements in their partners. Now it's time for their patients to reep the benefits of their education.
